So, a few weeks ago we were able to meet Nichole in New York for the weekend. She had been working at Penn State and would be spending the weekend there so instead of staying in PA. we decided we could all meet in the middle in New York City. Both cars arrived at the same time, we actually were right behind one another coming down 7th Ave, and pulled up to the Marriot Time Square to check in at the same time.
We spent all of Saturday, walking and sightseeing. The weather was perfect, especially for Feb. We went to Rockfeller Center, Time Square, Grande Central Station, Radio City Music Hall, Central Park, saw the Empire State Building. Went by Bryant Park, where they were getting ready for Fashion Week. Ate great food and ended the day by seeing "Mary Poppins". It was so much fun!
Sunday, we took a cab to Ground Zero and were able to spend some time there. What a sight, makes you realize you are an American and proud of it. We saw the church where they set up the beds and make shift hospital, saw the financial district. And then took a cab back to Time Square. Here are a few photos of the fun times had by all.......
