Another Blustery Day

As I sit looking out my window here in the office my view is blocked by the mound of snow sitting on the porch roof.  You cannot believe the amount of snow that we have seen since Christmas.  Over 70 inches and counting.   Talk about a winter wonderland, well this is it and I'm not sure it is so wonderful.  This latest storm started in the early morning hours on Tues. and has continued on thru today.  The snowfall has actually come to an end and we are now experiencing rain, that would be freezing rain because the outside temperatures are only at the freezing point.  What a difference this is from the mild winters of Virginia.  The people of Massachusetts are used to it however; they just bundle up and go on with life as they know it.  I remember when we moved to Arizona how the closet of coats diminished over time because there was no use for them.  Here the closet has gotten progressively fuller as we are adding to the winter attire on a regular basis.  We have definitely experienced one extreme to another.  One positive is that the groundhog did not see his shadow today and so spring should be on its way!  Maybe if we all think positively on that happy note the winter will pass a little quicker.  I know that the oven has been in constant use as the comfort food has been being prepared and the fireplace has been kept glowing, even the illusion of fire makes you feel a little better :).  Hopefully by this time next week I will be posting pictures of beautiful sunshine and some fun projects or adventures or something.  Until next time xoxoxo

  2. What a great attitude! Just hang in there and spring will be here to brighten your day and remind you of what your yard looks like underneath the snow!
